By air
Cologne Bonn Airport serves various destinations. Regional trains (S19) connect the airport with Cologne Main Station (travel time about 20 min). Taxis are available in front of the airport.
By rail
Colognes's
main train station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) is a well-connected ICE junction. GESIS is only about 5 minutes' walk (500m) from the main station. Leaving the
station from the main entrance, walk over the square in front of the station
(“Bahnhofsvorplatz”), heading right towards the street called "An den
Dominikanern". Keep walking straight ahead and follow "An den
Dominikanern", which turns into "Unter Sachsenhausen“. At the
crossroad "Tunisstraße", you will see the GESIS building in front of
you on the right. Please use the entrance on “Unter Sachsenhausen".
By car
GESIS can be reached via Autobahn A1, A3, A4, A57, A59 and A555. Finding
a parking place free of charge and close to the venue may prove difficult. However, there are several parking garages (chargeable)
within short walking distance.
